Help keep the crew off the streets

Just in time for his 30th anniversary, Frogger is back... Come on Really!?

3DS owner have been the most abused consumers I've ever seen. Not only are the hopes of true glasses-less 3D completely shattered and diminished by false advertizement ( note Nintendo also falsely advertised the Wii as having 1:1 fluid motion controls before it launched. I have to admit, just saying 'motion controls' now a days makes me feel as if I've committed a horrid sin..) but also they have been slapped in the face by an instant price drop and 'sold separately' second analog stick. Then we come to the games, or shall I say -lack there of. Resident Evil Revelations and Mario 3DS are the only two games in America that might be considered as system sellers. If you take away the names Capcom and Resident Evil from it's title RER would be thrown into a bargain bin faster than Rosie O' Donald at a bisexual bridal shower. Don't even mention Starfox 3DS! Now 3DS expands it's library of remakes and quick money grabs! It's Frogger 3DS!

AR- The Future or Forgettable?

Augment Reality! Fill your living space with Heroes and Monsters!

Will we care 3 years from now? Do we care today?

In the sea of gimmicks that video game companies have us swimming in, AR tends to set itself apart.  The Novelty of a dinosaur on the streets of your hometown is captivating but for it to be anything more than a novelty  AR needs to be implemented into existing franchises not just AR-only standalone games. Adding an AR mode to Street Fight X Tekken on the PlayStation Vita for example would do volumes for AR adoption by the hardcore community. Or perhaps even  a special  battle mode of  Final Fantasy Type-O with AR.  Used in this manner AR would be easy for the gaming public to accept and learn to love. Will Sony take the hint? Time ( and Podcast 3-Above ) will tell.

       PS2 FINALLY ON PSN!

Back in 2006 the PS3 was launched with the capability to play PS2 games straight out the box. No need to download special software, this was not emulation it was 100% hardware generated since the first PS3 had the PS2's Emotion chip installed, or so we were told.

After a few years that feature was left out of later incarnations of the PS3. Surprisingly enough you could still play PS1 games on all generations of the system.  Why was backwards compatibility stunted on the PS3? Was it price cutting? Or was it the only have an excuse to re-release PS2 games on PSN for a price? Conspiracy theorist discuss!

Are you ready to re-download all your favorite PS2 games? We aren't.

You might be saying to yourself; " Where can I find older episodes of my favorite show 3above? There's a special place where the episodes are kept.  It's the archives of 3above's first 27 shows. Download and listen to the hilarity.

"Shien only did two shows, now he's gone.."

     WE WANT MORE COLOR!

TGS 2011 gave us a great look at Sony's PSvita and the spectacular line of first party and third party content that will be ready at launch in 2012.
Besides games, there's a multitude of social applications designed exclusively for the portable. These apps blur the boundaries between mobility and staying connected socially.
Even with all that there still lingers in the mind an unanswered question- What colors will PSvita arrive in when it hits the U.S stores? Ever since I could remember Japan always get's their hardware in a variety of colors. Just look at the beautiful special edition Final Fantasy 13-2 PS3! (mouth waters) Studies show: If you make it available, we will buy it.

PSvita better disembark on to American shores dress in more than just 'Piano-black' & 'Pearl-white'. If not, me and my crew will give Kaz Hirai the old 'Black & blue'.

            HYBRID PACK

The second  theatrical Macross Frontier film, titled Macross Frontier the Movie: The Wings of Goodbye (Macross Frontier Gekijō-ban ~Sayonara no Tsubasa~), is also based on the Macross Frontier TV series. It acts as a sequel to the 2009 film, including a new story and new music. Although the movie adapts the remaining episodes of the anime series, the movie is an original story.

A BluRay and DVD release of the movie is then announced by Bandai to be released on October 20, 2011. The BluRay version will still be a Hybrid Pack. A PS3 game titled "Macross Last Frontier" is included in the Hybrid Pack, it can be played when the disc is in the PlayStation 3.

Macross Frontier is a Japanese animated science fiction space drama that aired in Japan. It is the most recent Japanese anime television series set in the Macross universe.

Macross Frontier is the story of a human space colony fleet trying to find a habitable planet near the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. The story focuses on three young adults (a famed pop singer, a private military pilot, and a rising pop singer) and the events that occur around them as the fleet faces a crisis of alien origin.
